The Research Association has been a member of the AiF Medical Technology Research Alliance (FAM) since August 2021.
The AiF Research Alliance was founded in November 2018 and aims to leverage the potential-rich synergies of its Research Associations for innovation creation in the field of medical technology and to increase the visibility of IGF-funded research.
With the help of funding from the Industrial Cooperative Research (IGF) programme of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi), the FAM Research Associations conduct research on topics such as innovative materials for medical therapy, new diagnostic methods and test systems, the application of IT and internet-based technologies for digital health, the further development of regenerative medicine and tissue engineering, as well as sensory and actuator systems for health-related areas.
