These posters provided visual insights into innovative research projects and encouraged exchanges of ideas. Additionally, seven companies and research institutions had the opportunity to showcase their innovations at booth stands. This platform allowed participants to stay informed about current developments and new technologies. The diversity of the presented innovations underscored the dynamics and potential of research in the field of mechatronic integrated devices. After an intense first day of presentations and discussions, participants enjoyed a warm summer evening. They were served specialties from the Oberpfalz region, providing a pleasant opportunity to exchange experiences and new ideas in a relaxed atmosphere. The program was rounded off with a Technical Tour, which took place this year at the visitor center “THE IMPULSE” of SIEMENS AG in Amberg. Real and digital worlds came to life in this setting. A bridge connected the visitor center to the production hall, giving participants an insight into the state-of-the-art, digitized production of control devices.
This year’s MID Sponsorship Award was presented to Dr.-Ing. Li Wang for her dissertation titled “Evaluation of Usability Laser-assisted Methods for Selective Metallization for Improvement Passive Intermodulation in High-Frequency Applications.” Her findings were highly regarded in the telecommunications industry.
