IGF-Project 22296 N – AddiHF

Additive manufacturing of antennas by processing of high frequency plastics [AddiHF]

Duration: 07/01/2022 – 06/30/2024

Research Objective

The aim of the project is to investigate suitable combinations of plastics and AF manufacturing processes of RF components. The focus is therefore on the one hand on the combination of materials and processes for the characterization of the basic material-process-property relationship in correlation with the electrical characterization for the application in the form of antennas up to 100 GHz. This enables the production of RF components made of plastics with field-filled areas, which can be miniaturized and designed with a high degree of freedom and thus find a wide range of applications, e.g. in the aerospace and telecommunications industries or in radar sensor technology.
